South West Police Compassionate Fund

When was it established?

The South West Police Compassionate Fund was formed in 1968 by police officers serving within Devon and Cornwall.  The purpose was to create a benevolent fund to support members, their immediate family, and newly bereaved partners.  The charity is fully self-funded and relies on regular monthly donations from our members, public donations, and legacy gifts. Membership is open to serving officers of the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. Members are encouraged to continue with their membership during retirement.

Who is it for?

Members and their immediate family or surviving partners of a deceased member, are eligible to apply for grants when there is hardship and compassionate reasons impacting on their health and welfare.   Each application will be considered on merit.
